KOHLER is great mechanically as well as looks
By StinkerBell
I’ve installed a number of faucets. None have been a breeze like this.
The Hot/Cold flexable hoses attached to the faucet have 3/8″ female threads. On one hand this was great (no messing around with copper pipes as I’ve had in the past). On the other, I had to use a 3/8″ to 1/2″ adapter for my hookup.
The bottom of the faucet that connects to the counter top (I used it with an undermount sink, but you can use it with a surface mount sink too) had a really good rubber seal to stop leaks. Fastening it was easy using their mechanism, requiring only a screwdriver (no fiddling around with a large wrench in a tight space).
Finally the hose for the pull-out spray is the best design I’ve seen so far. Which is good, because I’ve found this is the one thing that has leaked on cheap faucets. It has a weight that fastens to the end of the hose to make returning the spray back to it’s position very natural.
The black button on the top of the spray head to change from spray to stream was a nice touch

Very low water pressure
By xpianox
We’re on a well system, so our water pressure is low anyway. We replaced a similar design non-Kohler faucet that provided adequate pressure. With this Kohler faucet, we get little more than a trickle on hot OR cold, despite all valves being fully open under the sink. The faucet was installed by a plumber who replaced the values and fully tested the system. He showed me the swivel point in the design of the hose on the faucet that greatly restricts water pressure.
Our faucet also arrived with a small blemish on the tip of the handle where the cream finish is missing. We couldn’t wait for another unit though as our old faucet was broken. This was a disappointment, though.
Watch out for quality, and if you already have low pressure, look elsewhere.

Very pleased with this faucet
By D. Gates
I bought this to replace one that had been given to me that wouldn’t stay together and leaked about every 4 weeks. The water line inside the flexible hose under the sink kept popping off the fitting. After having a plumber look at the way the old one went together and being told it was a design flaw I decided to replace it with this Kohler. The faucet installed quickly and looks gorgeous! This one has a more secure connection in the flexible hose to keep the water line in place. Its water line connections are shorter than the previous one so I had to get extensions to connect it without stressing the lines. The flexible hose is also shorter, but that just means it can’t catch on the pipes and knobs under the sink which is part of what caused the old one to come apart. The weight on the flexible hose is also different. The old one had a doughnut-shaped weight that moved along the hose. The Kohler’s weight attaches to a single spot and stays there. It doesn’t slide along the hose like the old one which I think may also have contributed to the leak problem.
It’s been installed now for just over a month, and there have been no problems and no leaks so far. Its operation is also smoother than the one it replaced, both for turning it off and on and changing water temperature. One difference I’ve had to get used to is the old one automatically reverted to stream whenever the water was turned off. This one stays in whichever mode you put it until you change it. Turn the water off with it set to spray, and it will still be set to spray when you turn it back on. It’s just different from what I was used to, but I think I like it better.
Between the faucet itself and Amazon’s great price on it, I am very, very pleased with my purchase of this Kohler faucet.
